the show may not have been a work of art but hughley at least had the guts to ask his guests some questions the high paid anchors and reporters would't. Telling RNC chief Michael Steele the head of the Repulican party in the eyes of most people the leader of his party was Rush Limbaugh and not him seemed to touch a nerve even after the feud had been batted around already. I 'm a longtime radio reporter who got the ax in the fall and let me tell you very seldom do we just quit to "spend more time with our family" or my favorite "left to pursue other interests".CNN tried to capitalize and cash in on a demo they didn't know enough about., a younger audience that wasn't white and under 50.Not enough focus groups and research done at corporate headquarters.D.L. may have been a fish out of water so to speak on the parent CNN but he is a talented man who does more than just standup.Hopefully he will contribute a great deal from here on the West Coast.As for HLN the former Headline News, no wonder is beating the parent CNN in the 25 to 49 demo.its become tabloid and gossip to the max. Whether its Nancy Grace running endless "this just in' tidbits on crime cases going on for months and forgetting about due process before coming just 'this close"to declaring those spotlighted guilty of something or Jane vellez Mitchell who has" Issues " with everything.And please lets not forget the endless entertainment gossip "scoops"Its tabloid TV sure the numbers are up. Throw in Lou Dobbs ranting about the evils of illegal immigration and a bit of time devoted to actual news headlines along with weather and the slumping dow and you've got a format kids.
