Art royalty Marden—her father is painter Brice Marden—co-founded the hipster Lower East Side gallery Rivington Arms in 2001 with partner Melissa Bent, and the two rose to prominence representing hot young things like Hanna Liden, Dash Snow, and Mathew Cerletty. In October '08 Marden and Bent announced that they were closing the gallery for the time-honored reason of creative differences.
