Fashion vet Elie Tahari started Theory with pal Andrew Rosen in 1997 before unloading the company for $102 million in 2003. These days Tahari's line is available in department stores as well as his eponymous boutiques in Soho, East Hampton, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Boston, and Boca. He resides in Rupert Murdoch's old Prince Street triplex, which he purchased for $25 million in 2004.
