rose rarely looks like he hasn't had too much to drink and so obviously fawns over guests he's hot for (e.g., maureen dowd). that said, people of all types are eager to go on his show because a pbs appearance instantly imparts credibility.

I find Rose insufferable, worse because there is the pretension of seriousness which always runs way second to sycophancy (I guess the puff price you pay to have anyone famous come on your program). Plus, Rose is genuinely not smart, he is not a Renaissance man capable of conversing on multitudinous topics, he's an inarticulate near-moron. PBS for kindergarten and pass the hat for a pledge, yup yup. I'd like to see Rose sold at auction.

you are my ideal TV host. Too bad you don't have advertisements to let others get to know your show. I'd like to hear you interview D.L. Hugley. I was turned off by his blue language when he began, but watched him regularly after I discovered he cleaned his act up. I'm so sorry he is being cancelled.
