Who

The wife of money manager Boykin Curry, Kemble is an interior designer and social fixture.

Backstory

Celerie isn't her real name, of course: Cecilia Lacoste Kemble was raised in a prominent blue-blood family in Palm Beach, the daughter of an investment manager and noted Palm Beach interior designer Mimi Maddock McMakin. Celerie attended Groton and Harvard before moving to New York to dabble in film. She soon turned her attention to interior design and opened up a New York office of the firm her mom founded, Kemble Interiors Inc. These days Celerie and her team create trendy spaces for young, privileged thirty-something executives and their wives, and mother and daughter have branched out with a collection of furniture for Laneventure as well as a line of faux leather fabrics for Valtekz. But Celerie is just as well known around town for her active social life—she's been a New York society staple for several years now.

Personal

In 2005, Kemble married former client Boykin Curry in Palm Beach. The society wedding attracted pals like Samantha Boardman Rosen, Amanda Brooks, and Bronson van Wyck; Celerie wore a gown designed by good friend Lela Rose. In 2006, the Currys had their first child, Ravenel Boykin Curry V (who goes by "Rascal"); they had a daughter in 2008 named Zinnia.

Habitat

The family lives in an apartment in the Trump Parc building on Central Park South, along with their Jack Russell terrier named Anchovy. They spend summers in East Hampton, where they recently signed a five-year lease on Grey Gardens, the famed estate owned by Sally Quinn and Ben Bradlee.

On the side

Kemble and Curry are behind the private retreat Playa Grande, a "creative utopia" now under construction in the Dominican Republic. Richard Meier, Charlie Rose, Fareed Zakaria, Alex von Furstenberg, Moby, Mike Novogratz and Bronson van Wyck are all members.
