Who
Beth Ostrosky is the blonde pinup model and TV "personality" who has her shock jock husband Howard Stern to thank for any measure of fame she now possesses.
Backstory
The daughter of a model and an oral surgeon, Ostrosky was raised in Pittsburgh and moved to New York after graduating Pitt with a degree in English lit. She did some catalog modeling and landed some miniscule movie roles—she played the virtually mute, bathing-suit clad teenager in 1996's Flirting with Disaster and appeared in 2000's pitiful Whipped. Before she hooked up with Howard Stern in 2000, Ostrosky's greatest hope was probably to land a layout in Playboy. Thanks to Stern, though, she's been a sex columnist for the now-defunct FHM magazine, hosted Casino Cinema on Spike TV, been a correspondent for Extra, and currently hosts Filter, a pop-culture countdown show on the G4 network. At least you can give her credit for being a realist. As she once told a reporter, "I don't mean to put myself down, but the most attractive thing about me is definitely my boyfriend."
Personal
Ostrosky met Howard—who is two decades her senior—at a dinner party in 2000; they were engaged in February 2007 and married in October 2008. The divorced Stern, who had long claimed that he'd never remarry, says he proposed with a 5.2 carat engagement ring while the two were naked in bed. The lucky Ostrosky now gets to tune in to Sirius each morning and listen to her husband talk about throwing chocolate sauce on a stripper's boobs.
Habitat
Beth and Howard live in a penthouse in the Millennium Tower on West 67th Street. In 2007, Stern gave the couple a little more room to stretch out in the building, buying the 53rd floor unit directly below their apartment for $15.1 million. Beth and her absurdly-named English bulldog, Bianca Romijn-Stamos, will soon have a similarly sprawling property to prance around in on the East End: Stern paid $47 million for two lots in Southampton on Squabble Lane, on which he's erecting a 16,000-square-foot home. When the estate is finished, it will feature eight bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a bowling alley, a cabana, and a wine cellar. At 1,500 square feet, the master bedroom will be larger than most people's apartments.
