The daughter of former President George W. Bush, Barbara's the smarter, skinnier Bush twin.

Backstory

Named after her grandmother, the former first lady, Barbara is the slightly older of the Bush twins: Her sister, Jenna, was born a minute behind her. Barbara spent her childhood living in Dallas (when her dad owned the Texas Rangers) and Austin (following her father's election as Governor) and moved to the Northeast in 2000 to attend Yale, the same year her mom and dad moved into the White House. Like her pop, Barb didn't exactly bowl anyone over with her scholastic abilities—one Yale professor called her "a B student—completely average"—but she devoted considerably more attention to her social life. (She had a couple of run-ins over underage drinking and was memorably photographed with Fabian Basabe dirty-dancing in 2004.) After graduating, Barb moved to New York. She now works in educational programming at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, where she helps plan lectures offered by the institution to students and museum-goers. But she's much better known to New York society as a staple at fashion shows and galas where she can often be found in the company of her first cousin Lauren Bush.

Personal

Barbara has been romantically linked to fellow Yalies Jay Blount and Nick Tucci. (Her relationship with Blount was the subject of a very minor uproar when then-President Bush wrote him a letter of recommendation to Yale Business School.) She currently lives on West 9th Street in Greenwich Village, a few doors down from Uma Thurman.
