K&T Party Very B&T | How many valet parking attendants did it take to handle the (second) wedding party for Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner at the Puck Building last night? Quite a few, clearly. What, no one has chauffeurs anymore? [Curbed]

Ivanka Bites Back | Ivanka Trump is denying Cindy Adams' report yesterday that her wedding invitations contained a "marketing flyer" for her dad's golf courses. (Not sure if it it's better or worse, but earlier this month the Times described it as an "insert" that "offered guests a free round of golf at one of Mr. Trump's courses.") In any event, Ivanka is probably happier to hear that the press has responded much more enthusiastically to her dress. Ivanka looked "sensational" and the gown "made a fresh statement," says Cathy Horyn of the Times. "Maybe she'll have an influence on brides." Or on the direct mail business. [NYT, NYM]

Ivanka Stays True to Trump Family Tradition | Back in September it was reported that only one photo would be released following Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner's wedding (just like JFK Jr. and Caroline Bessette!), since they had no intention of making any money on the sale of photos and wanted to keep the event private. It looks like they changed their minds (or decided John and Caroline weren't the best role models): Getty Images has at least five photos of the wedding for sale that it's distributing to media outlets for free, as long as they agree to write a positive story." You can view the pics for yourself here. [Popsugar]

Ivanka Needs Your Help | Ivanka Trump will walk down the aisle with Jared Kushner in six days. But while she may have settled on a location (her dad's golf course in New Jersey, naturally) and a dress (by Vera Wang, of course), she's still having some difficulty picking a wedding song. Feel free to shoot her a message on Twitter if you have any bright ideas. Don't bother, though, if all you can come up with is the JK Wedding Dance: We're going to take a leap and assume she and Jared have already ruled out that YouTube favorite. [Twitter]

Jared & Ivanka Sell Out | Over the weekend, the New York Times thoroughly dissected the three wedding registries set up by Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, who plan to tie the knot at the end of the month at the Trump golf course in Bedminster, NJ. The attention sure seems to have paid off: All the unsold items at Crate & Barrel and Tiffany mentioned in the article have since been spoken for. But it also looks like the couple wasn't especially thrilled to have their drinking glass and serving spoon preferences revealed to all. You'll need to obtain a password from Jared or Ivanka to view their Williams-Sonoma registry from now on. [NYT, previously]

Jason Preston Is Not Looking Forward to the Weekend

Marc Jacobs is reportedly tying the knot this weekend in Provincetown to fiancé Lorenzo Martone. One person who is none too excited by the prospect that Jacobs is finally settling down: Jason Preston, Jacobs' "rent boy" ex-boyfriend, who was once so devoted to the designer, he had his logo tattooed to his forearm. We're not sure commiserating on Twitter with Courtney Love, of all people, is going to provide Preston much relief from his relationship blues—she's got issues of her own to worry about—but if you have a moment today and want to send him a tweet of encouragement (or maybe hire him to "host a party or event"), feel free to reach out. LA Braces For Jackson, The Housewives Demand More

142749• Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, Usher, Lionel Richie, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer, and a truck full of elephants (left) will all on hand for the Michael Jackson's memorial service in LA later today. Debbie Rowe and Elizabeth Taylor will not be there, however. [Reuters, NYDN, People, Us]
• Several ladies from the Real Housewives of New York are demanding more cash before signing up for another season of the show. In addition to "six-figure deals," they're asking for clothing, hair and makeup allowances and "a promised amount of screen time." You're shocked by this, we're sure. [NYDN]
• In other Housewives news, it looks like LuAnn de Lesseps may be reuniting with her estranged husband, and Bethenny Frankel is engaged. [P6, Us] More

Most Fashionable Gay Wedding Ever: Postponed | If you've been opening your mailbox every afternoon wondering why you haven't received your invitation to Marc Jacobs' wedding to Lorenzo Martone—and you've been freaking out at the prospect that you didn't make the invite list—you can breathe a bit easier today: WWD reports that "the fashion world's most anticipated wedding" has been pushed back to August. "Martone attributed the delay to Jacobs' hectic work schedule, but said it is still planned for Provincetown, Mass., where Jacobs' business partner, Robert Duffy, has a vacation home." [WWD]

Here Comes the Dog | Please don't insist on having your dogs attend your wedding. Don't dress them up in special outfits, or make them play the role of ringbearer. Don't require they sit for wedding photos. Or send them for pre-wedding beauty treatments. Your guests may smile politely and tell you what a cute idea it is. These are the same people who will be laughing at you for weeks to come. (Unless, that is, the person is blind and it's a seeing-eye dog we're talking about, in which case ignore what you just read.) Next thing you know people are going to start holding bar mitzvahs for their canines or something. Oh, right. Too late. [NYDN]

What Do You Buy the Man Who Has Everything?

142172Marc Jacobs has said he plans to tie the knot with Lorenzo Martone sometime this summer in Provincetown. But when? It doesn't really matter, of course, since you're not invited. But it will take place at some point over the next couple of months, and Provincetown is where it'll go down, according to a "source close to the couple" who spoke with WWD this week. But what if you are one of the lucky few who will be attending the most glam gay wedding ever? First off, you should know that you will not be able to just swoop down in your private jet: The Provincetown airport is a small one, which means "Jacobs' globe-trotting guests may have to travel to the Cape the old fashioned way: by boat." A horrifying prospect, yes. But a more daunting issue may be what to get the couple as a wedding gift. Fortunately, Fashion Week Daily has sorted it all out. You can look over some suggestions after the jump.More

Wedding Announcements and Other Inalienable Rights

141848If you submit your wedding announcement to the New York Times and they decide not to run it, do you have legal grounds to sue the paper? No, sadly, you don't. But sketch comedy group, Kasper Hauser, has come up with an ad for a fake law firm that promises to do just that. It's a promotional video for the group's new book, Weddings of the Times, which was published last week. But it's amusing all the same. The video is after the jump.More

The Downturn

Here Comes the Bride (In a Used Wedding Dress)

141589Planning a wedding can be terribly expensive, and many brides and grooms-to-be are now trimming expenses in light of the economic downturn, not surprisingly. A couple of years ago, the average cost of a wedding was $26,450; these days, it's just $19,212, according to a recent survey conducted by a market research company. Cutting back on your wedding budget has its advantages, though. Initially, you were worried it would be really rude to not invite your freshman year roommate, especially since she invited you to her wedding, not that you gave any serious thought to spending a Saturday night at a Ramada in Wichita. But now you have a perfect excuse for keeping her off the invite list. You just can't afford it! Planning a destination wedding achieves much the same effect. Since many people are now resistant to the idea of spending thousands of dollars to attend weddings in far-flung places, holding the event elsewhere will ensure that people you don't know/like will stay home, particularly if the "destination" you have in mind is a remote island in the Indian Ocean.More

Chelsea Clinton Mezvinsky? | Is Chelsea Clinton getting married this summer? Rumors that former first daughter plans to tie the knot with longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky in the near future first surfaced in late March, and although the Clinton family has steadfastly denied the reports since then, "well-connected residents" of Martha's Vineyard" now say the wedding is planned for late August at the home of Vernon Jordan, the Democratic power broker and top exec at Lazard. (Previously, it had been reported that the wedding might take place at the Martha's Vineyard home of Ted Danson.) The Clintons still maintain it's not happening, although if you have plans to be on Martha's Vineyard at the end of August—which is when the Obamas are expected to be on the island—you'd be well advised to take precautions and make alternate vacation arrangements as soon as possible.  [NYM]
