World Series MVP Hideki Matsui celebrated the Yankees win at today's tickertape parade. And while we have no idea if plans to keep the party going this evening, he probably should know that no less than 100 lovely ladies are going to be waiting for him on West 33rd Street tonight, including "Suki" (right) who happens to be fluent in Japanese. Oh, and Hideki's wife is invited, too, naturally.More

Tom Cruise Gets a Very Special Invite

Did you catch Tom Cruise's appearance on The Jay Leno Show the other night? If you missed it, Cruise mentioned to Leno that he'd never been to a strip club, a response that elicited boos from the audience (but may not be all that surprising when you consider the possible explanations.) In any event, Lonnie Hanover was certainly inspired by Cruise's comments. The former manager of Score's and now the frontman for the NYC location of Rick's Cabaret has extended a personal invitation to Cruise to come and see what he's been missing.

Rick's Cabaret New York's Topless Dancers Invite Him To See What he's Been Missing
When she heard that Tom Cruise told Jay Leno that he'd never been to a strip club, Rick's Cabaret dancer Maya, a 36D-25-36 blonde, said, "I'll give him a lap dance he will never forget!"
The rest of the press release, additional quotes from pseudonymous strippers—and pictures of the ladies that Hanover has in mind for Cruise should he decide to pay a visit—below. More

Scores Reopens, Offers Heidi Pratt the Job of a Lifetime | Scores, the strip club on East 60th Street, closed its doors at the end of 2008 after running into some financial difficulty. (Its West Side location was shuttered last May after it got caught up in a prostitution sting operation.) But it's back in business and under new management. And it's in desperate need of publicity, clearly, since it just offered Heidi Pratt a job at the club.More

The Trickiest Strip Club in Town | If you're wondering how it is a strip club managed to get Samantha Ronson, Pamela Anderson and Shannen Doherty to turn up for its opening night party on Monday, well, there's a good reason for that. All three now say they were "tricked" into making an appearance at the debut of Sapphire East and had only signed on because they thought Sapphire "was a restaurant or club," and "without realizing there would be topless dancers and bodypainted performers" on the scene. Not that Sam appears too distressed by the sight of a woman in stripper heels doing her thang, of course. [Us]

Your Visit to Scores Will Put Eddie Hayes' Mind at Ease | Legendary defense attorney Eddie Hayes is very concerned about the economy. Well, at least as it relates to the city's population of strippers and hookers, a world with which he's intimately acquainted: "The strippers are getting killed—it's terrible," he told the Washington Post over the weekend. "It really started in the last month. What they really need are the guys who go in and spend $500." To those bankers who are still employed: You've got your charity work cut out for you. The Downturn
The X-Rated Debate
Is the financial crisis good or bad for the city's strippers and hookers? Depends on who you ask, it seems. According to the Post, "jiggle joints all over the city are seeing a drop in business, with fewer customers, less bar traffic and a drop in lap dances." An item in this week's issue of New York suggests the contrary, however, claiming that "the strip clubs that cater to corporate types were still packed" as of last week. Guess if you're really interested in a conclusive answer to this terribly imporant economic issue, you'll have to hit a strip club tonight and find out for yourself. What about the city's hookers, you ask?More
