Fashion Week

Dani Stahl Will Take the Stairs, Thank You | Stacey Bendet showed off her Alice + Olivia collection for Spring 2010 on Saturday evening in a raw gallery space in the meatpacking district. (How raw? So raw that wooden boards had to be placed over the metal grates on the floors so that a socialite or celeb in 7-inch heels wouldn't be maimed at the show.) The all-female French rock band Plastiscines performed; the crowd included the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Jared Leto, Nicky Hilton, Mena Suvari, Shenae Grimes, Kristin Cavallari, AnnaLynne McCord, and Tinsley Mortimer. Party-hopping reporter Douglas Marshall struck up a conversation with Nylon style director and girl-about-town Dani Stahl, Nylon publisher Jaclynn Jarrett, and Eleanor Ylvisaker, a co-founder of Earnest Sewn and the denim brand's former PR queen.  More

Stacey Bendet Demands Justice | Dolce & Gabbana publicist Ali Wise is facing a few felony charges for allegedly hacking into the voice mail of interior designer Nina Freudenberger. And there appear to be other victims of Wise's electronic crime spree, including a fashion designer named Briana Rasinski, according to today's Post. But Wise has at least one friend who's got her back: Stacey Bendet, the founder of alice + olivia. Judging by her comments, we're going to go ahead and assume that Freudenberger will not be asked to design the next home that Bendet and her husband Eric Eisner move into:More

Stacey Bendet's Aging Secrets

128827Stacy Bendet is a rising fashion star and the co-founder of the Alice + Olivia label. She's also the wife of Eric Eisner, the son of former Disney chief Michael Eisner. And it seems she's discovered the fountain of youth, too! When she appeared on Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed list in July (top), the very social fashionista was 30. She's since returned to the pages of Graydon Carter's mag—except in the October issue, she's managed to shed a year off her age and is listed as 29 (bottom). Does that mean when she turns 31 next month, she'll be listed as 28 in an upcoming issue of the magazine? Who knows. But considering that once upon a time she was known as Stacey Weiner and then mysteriously morphed into Stacey Bendet (and now Stacey Bendet Eisner), she seems pretty good at creating illusions.
