A Listing at 1030 Fifth, A Sale on 82nd Street

145735• Hedge funder John Griffin and his wife Amy, who paid $32.25 million for a full-floor apartment at 1030 Fifth Avenue last year, are selling their old apartment in the same building. Now that they've finished renovations on the new spread, the couple has quietly put their 8th-floor apartment on the market with Serena Boardman for $16.5 million. [NYT]
• The townhouse at 11 East 82nd Street that was purchased by Ron Perelman as a home for one of his executives back in 1996 and was later acquired by private investor Keith Gollust, has gone into contract after more than a year and a half on the market. • Tokyo-born filmmaker Keiko Ibi is switching things up at 15 CPW. Back in July, she put her one-bedroom condo on the market for $3.75 million. Now she's partnered with her 7th floor neighbors, Young-oh and Byungwha Yoon, and they've listed their two apartments together for a combined $10.285 million. 145301• Corrugated cardboard magnate Dennis Mehiel has chopped $5.4 million off the price of his Carhart Mansion duplex (left). The 10,350-square-foot spread, which had been listed for $34.9 million, can now be yours for a much more modest $29.5 million. [NYO, BHS]
• Michael Steinberg, a portfolio manager at Sigma Capital, a hedge fund affiliated with Steve Cohen's SAC Capital, has picked up a new apartment. Steinberg and his wife Elizabeth paid $8 million for a penthouse at 885 Park Avenue. [Cityfile]

Apollo Exec Buys Village Townhouse

145013• Joseph Azrack, the former head of Citigroup's real estate investment group and now a partner at Leon Black's Apollo Management, has picked up the townhouse at 24 West 11th Street. • Tony Margolis, who retired as CEO of the Tommy Bahama Group in 2008, has dropped the price of his eighth-floor apartment at 1010 Fifth Avenue for the third time since listing it in January 2008 for for $11.995 million. The 6,500-square-foot apartment, which happens to be former home of Tommy Hilfiger, can be yours for $36 million via broker Serena Boardman, provided you can pass muster with a board known for having the "strongest chins, highest noses and cruelest standards." • Developer Louis Cappelli and his wife, actress Kylie Travis, have put their apartment at 515 Park Avenue on the market. The 6,500-square-foot, 13-room, six-bedroom spread is priced at $29.5 million. [NYO, BHS]
