(1) The 9th annual Art For Life Benefit took place on Saturday at Russell Simmons' East Hampton house. Despite tickets not selling out as fast as usual, the event played host to Aretha Franklin, Christy Turlington, Lorraine Bracco, Soledad O'Brien, David Paterson, Diddy, Padma Lakshmi, Brett Ratner, LA Reid, the cast of Real Housewives of New York, Al Roker, Kelly Bensimon, Alina Cho, Simon de Pury, and Porschla Coleman—whose break up with Simmons, judging by their behavior, is either incredibly amicable or no longer in effect. They really should teach this in Celebrity PR 101: Do not, however tempting, publicly rhapsodize at great length about your fabulous and life-changing new relationship, because said relationship will consequently not last the week. Poor Russell Simmons, days after touchingly sharing with HuffPo readers how he and 25-year-old Porschla Coleman had bonded over yoga and spirituality, is back on the market, according to Page Six. No doubt Simmons will bounce back—he is in possession of a highly-evolved consciouness, after all—but will the eager bidders on a private yoga lesson with Porschla at her ex's house, in aid of Art for Life, now be disappointed?

Last week Russell Simmons was in the news after his divorce settlement with Kimora Lee Simmons was made public. Simmons didn't comment on the settlement, which revealed that Kimora is getting sole custody of their kids and Russell will have to cough up half a million dollars a year in child support, but today he offers up the heartwarming tale of how he met his current girlfriend, 25-year-old model-turned-yoga instructor Porschla Coleman:
