A new poll shows that David Paterson's job approval ratings have fallen to an all-time low since he took office last year. Tough Times for Goomahs | Forget the wives who can no longer afford to go wild at Barneys with their husbands' AmEx Platinum cards. Today's plunge in the Dow—it's been down several hundred points for most of the afternoon—has led to a new low for him on InTrade, which now estimates his chances of winning the election at 1-in-5. Obama Leading the Soda Poll | As if it's not bad enough that you have to do your shopping at 7-11, you now have to indicate which candidate you're voting for this November, too. The chain is now offering soda cups in two varieties—red and blue, naturally—and Obama is currently ahead by 16 percentage points, in case you're curious. [7Election]
