Filmmaker and Transcendental Meditation enthusiast David Lynch brought Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr together for the first time in years as part of the Change Begins Within benefit at Radio City Music Hall on Saturday night. A slew of celebrity performers and guests were on hand for the occasion, including Sheryl Crow, Laura Dern, and Ben Harper (with Ringo, left), as well as Jerry Seinfeld, Yoko Ono, John McEnroe, Martin Scorsese, Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky, Matthew Broderick, Moby, Jennifer Aniston, Desiree Gruber and Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, David Arquette, Michael J. Fox, Robin Quivers, Eddie Vedder, Jason Bateman, Barbara Bach, Bettye LaVette, and Mike Love. [Wireimage, Getty, VF, NYO] More

The Belly Button Mystery, CFDA Winners & Losers
♦ It's a horrifying mystery that will weigh heavily on all of our minds until it's solved: Where on earth is Karolina Kurkova's belly button? [Telegraph, Daily Mail]
♦ Diane von Furstenberg confirmed last night that she has submitted sketches for Michelle Obama's inaugural ball gown: "Well, they asked me to. Of course, everybody has." [The Cut]
♦ Best outfit worn to the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards last night: Agyness Deyn's tux-style black suit with Marc Jacobs hat and red platforms. Absolute worst: Blake Lively's hideous Vena Cava dress, which we can only imagine was chosen to fulfill a contractual obligation to expose her boobs at all times. [stylefile, Teen Vogue]More

Fashion Week Highlights: Day Six
» The scene at Michael Kors was inevitably the central portion of the fashion industry/magazine world/reality TV venn diagram: Nina Garcia, Rachel Zoe with her client Joy Bryant, Heidi Klum, Joanna Coles, and Joe Zee drew the limelight away from Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer, Blake Lively, Bette Midler, and Kors' mom Joan. On the runway the (smiling!) models, who were told "you are the most glamorous beach bums in the world," showed off middle-of-the-road, cheerful outfits with polka dots and gingham aplenty. [NYO, NYDN, IHT]
» Doesn't Harvey Weinstein have any clout in this town anymore? At the presentation of his wife Georgina Chapman's label Marchesa—as usual a load of frou-frou formal dresses with no connection to trends or the real world—A-list celebs were conspicuous in their absence. The lack-lustre guest list included Tinsley Mortimer, Fabiola Beracasa, Beth Ostrosky, Rachel Zoe, Joy Bryant, Guiliana Rancic, and Amanda Bynes (whose name we're even embarrassed to type). On the plus side, however, the new president of LVMH, Renard Dutreil, was there, raising the possibility that he's eyeing the label for his fashion roster. [Guardian, Wireimage, WWD]More

Chace and Nastia's Fashion Week Plans

- Designers must be clawing each others' eyes out to get Gossip Girl cast members at their shows. Well, score one for Rock and Republic, which has confirmed Chace Crawford will be in attendance. Maybe he'll turn up with Amanda Hearst, whom he was allegedly trying to "cozy up" with this past weekend. [Fashionista]
- As for gold medalist Nastia Liukin, she'll be at Peter Som, Isaac Mizrahi and Cole Haan. She's also launching a clothing line and will also be making an appearance on GG, naturally. [WWD]
- A series of sketches is the first glimpse of Isaac Mizrahi's new clothing line for Liz Claiborne, which will be in stores in January. [Fab Sugar/WWD]
